The sudden disappearance of a prominent politician and governorship aspirant from his house, opens a Pandora box of betrayal, conspiracies and murders surrounding a dysfunctional family.
The haunting by a dreaded past, greedy political ambition, lust and betrayal, and the constant struggle to maintain a facade of social correctness, are the primary ingredients in the fatally explosive and twisty plot of the movie.
Written and co-directed by the Spain based, prolific filmaker, Michael Dike Martins Akpapuna, and shot in Nigeria and Spain in 2021/2022, "A Masquerade Carnival In Lagos" goes beyond the regular Nollywood style movie. It successfully blends glamour and trado-cultural elements that espouse and project the contemporary African identity, juxtaposed with social and political realities.
The movie is a roller coaster of the unexpected, crafted by a Master Craftsman of suspense and sequential revelations, punctuated by multiple twists and wrapped up with a mind-blowing crescendo. Thanks to the scintillating performance of some of the "A" class actors and best brains in the industry who brought their best acts on set, every scene chains you to the next.
The movie features the likes of Jude Chukwuka, Max Ese Anderson and Baaj Adebule. Others are Scarlet Gomez, Vich Vitalis, Tony Akposheri, Sonny McDon W, Oby Titus, Dan Kason, Onome Akpobome, Becky Patrick, Misan Liolio (NellyYoung), Uzezi Arure, Jasmine Nweze, and others.
Under the directing ingenuity of Michael Dike Martins Akpapuna and Okey Ifeanyi (DGN), and an outstanding technical crew, the movie was shot with state-of-the-art, Hollywood standard equipment and cutting edge post production for a high quality and perfect finishing. The movie is produced by Ejiro Okurame, and Max Ese Anderson as the Executive Producer.
